Duplantis vs Warholm 100m Showdown, Is Duplantis the favourite to win?

In a recent development it has been announced the Olympic Champion Pole vaulter, Mondo Duplantis, will be facing off against word champion middle distance sprinter Kasten Warholm in the 100m.
Mondo Duplantis, for long time, has fancied his skills in the 100 meters despite being widely considered the greatest pole vaulter of all time.
In an interview at a the Wanda Diamond League meet in Brussels, in 2022. Duplantis was asked by the prolific Jamaican sprinter, Shelly-Ann Frayser Pryce, about his skills in the 100 meter dash.
Despite Shelly-Ann Fryser Pryce being one of the most highly decorated sprinters to grace the track, with her being the only sprinter in the world to win 5 world titles in 100 meters, Duplantis was ironclad in his belief that he would beat her at the 100m.

So who has the upper hand?

Karsten Warholm is a formidable 400m hurdler holding the world record at a staggering 45.94s and is the only man to ever complete the 400m hurdles with a time under 46 seconds. In the recent Paris Olympics he was able to claim a silver medal to add to his already existing massive collection of both gold and silver medals.
Warholm ran a very solid 100m of in high school of 10.49 under legal wind speeds in 2017.

Despite not being an Olympic sprinter Duplantis, whilst in college, ran a very respectable 10.57 second 100 meters. This time was done under heavily wind aided conditions +2.1 m/s.
Duplantis' foot speed is not one to be underestimated, with him hitting highs of 10.3 meters per second in his 45 meter run up than prior to catapulting himself off the ground in the pole vault. With these number under his belt it's evident why Duplantis fancies himself in this exhibition race.
In a recent Instagram post Welklasse Zurich asked their followers who they thought would be the favourite to win the exhibition event. Despite being the field athlete Duplantis was the favourite to win with of two thirds of Welkasse Zurich's viewers voting for him in the poll.

This rivalry had turned into reality being hosted in collaboration with Puma, Red Bull and Weltklasse Zurich.
With these times both athletes already having very respectable sub-11 100m times in their collegiate careers both track and field fans are in for a very eventful and competitive 100m race.
The athletics world waits to see which world record holder will emerge victorious in this historic clash of titans.
